UCLA's Friends of the Semel Institute is proud to participate in Giving Tuesday, the global movement that celebrates and encourages charitable giving.

We invite you to celebrate Giving Tuesday with us by investing in the future of mental health research. By joining our UCLA Spark crowdfunding campaign on this international day of giving back, you can help us collectively raise $25,000 to fund a Friends Scholar doing state-of-the-art research to improve the lives of people with mental illnesses or disorders and make new discoveries about the mind and brain in sickness and in health.

Please join us by making your gift of any amount

(no gift is too small or too large!).

To learn about the impact of The Friends Scholar program on the careers of young neuroscientists, please meet Friends Scholar, Yvonne Yang, M.D., Ph.D.

To date, The Friends has awarded grants to 24 trailblazing early career neuroscientists of $25,000 - $50,000 to support their state-of-the-art research. On GIVING TUESDAY, together, we can make that 25 Friends Research Scholar Grants!

Together, we can make a difference in advancing mental health research that will ultimately benefit us all.

You can meet all the scholars here and read about their studies at www.friendsofnpi.org/scholar-recipients

Thank you in advance for your generosity. Wishing you and

your families a healthy, happy holiday season and New Year.
